I am an Adjunct Professor of Mathematics at Christopher Newport University. Current student should refer to Scholar for course information.
I earned my PhD in mathematics at the University
of Nebraska-Lincoln under the advisement of Dr. Glenn
Ledder. My research focuses on problems in mathematical biology and optimal
control theory, and in particular plant life history theory. I earned my MS in
mathematics from UNL and my BS in mathematics from Hope College. Outside of mathematics I enjoy
bird watching, cooking, and reading.
I was instructor of record for each course listed below unless otherwise indicated.
I am primarily interested in mathematical biology with a current focus on applications of control theory to plant life history and ecology. I am also interested in scientific computing and computational fluid dynamics.
